Compass Group Recruiting is Hiring a CNC Milling & Lathe Machinist Near Tolleson, AZ

Summary:

CNC Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts, setting up, and operating a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards. This position is responsible for keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Functions:

1. We work with these machines: CNC Puma Lathe, CNC Hitachi Seiki Lathe 23,25, CNC Hass Mill VF-2YT, VF-1

2. Performs functions related to CNC machine precision, fixtures, tools and products from drawing in accordance with established procedures. Must be able to perform duties with limited supervision.

3. Comprehend and read machine blueprints, work orders and engineering plans.

4. Import and export CAD files, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). 5. Knowledge of and able to program using G-Codes and Gibbs programing

6. CNC Program mills and/or lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; and basic calculating requirements. 7. Use CMM equipment to check in-line quality of production parts

8. Setup mills and/or lathes by installing and adjusting vices, three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, etc. as required

9. Maintains specifications while using various quality checks for detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes.

10. Actively pursues continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency 11. Comply with all safety rules, policies, procedures and practices to include performing LOTO of production equipment when required.

12. Responsible for informing the leadership team immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure that corrective action is taken.

13. Maintain a safe and clean work area and equipment at all times.

14. Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Team Supervisor or Department Manager.
