POSITION PURPOSE:
Supervise and assist in delivering quality environmental services during an assigned eight (8) hour shift.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent. Two years experience in custodial work, with supervisory knowledge.
Licensure / Certification:
Must have a valid Florida Drivers License. Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Skills / Ability:
Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in custodial work. Physical agility required to performing assigned tasks.
Hours:
40 hours per week (Day & Night as needed)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (THIS IS A EXEMPT POSITION)
Plans, organizes and supervises the work of subordinates in a manner conductive to full performance.
Supervise the productivity of all Environmental staff.
Ensures that all equipment is clean and in good repair.
Provides all supplies and equipment needed for employees to accomplish required work.
Performs periodic spot checks to ensure vents, high ledges, ceiling, light fixtures and high ledges are being properly clean.
Coordination of all inventory management, storage management, and housekeeping.
Implement training of environmental workers in accordance with the organization’s Policies and Procedures.
Evaluation of supply and maintenance practices employed at the user level.
Maintains continuous liaison with all affected programs and activities.
Performs duties of an Environmental Worker as assigned by supervisor.
Responsibly follows the Health Center Exposure Control Plans / Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, procedures, and correct use of protective barrier equipment.
Completes work assignments on a time/readily accepts assignments, as observed by the supervisor.
Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations.
Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism.
Performs other duties as assigned.
