The Treatment Coordinator’s main responsibility is to clearly explain treatment options to the patient and will be responsible for coordinating a treatment plan with the doctor and presenting it to the patient along with being knowledgeable about the treatment and timelines with the patient.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients to the dental office
• Schedule and confirm appointments for dental treatments
• Educate patients on treatment options, procedures, and payment plans
• Assist patients in completing necessary paperwork and insurance forms
• Coordinate with dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient treatment scheduling
• Follow up with patients to ensure they understand their treatment plans and answer any questions they may have
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a dental office is required
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing
• MUST have experience with Medi-Cal Dental insurance, i.e. checking eligibility, office transfers, pre-estimates and referrals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
• Strong organizational skills to manage appointment schedules and patient records accurately
• Proficiency in computer software programs, including dental practice management software
