Community Health Alliance is looking for an Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN). Join our talented team of healthcare providers that focus on serving the community and helping those in need by creating healthy outcomes for patients of every income.
We operate six convenient locations throughout Reno and Sparks, providing comprehensive, top-quality medical services, dental and pediatric care, behavioral health, low-cost pharmacies, nourishing food pantries, and more.
Job Description: Responsible for diagnosing and treating various medical conditions that impact women's health. Provides comprehensive, outpatient services for OB/GYN patients on a continuing basis in the ambulatory setting. Duties include diagnosing and monitoring illnesses and diseases, providing medical support to pregnant women and performing routine check-ups on patients of Community Health Alliance.

Competitive salary: $217,092 - $347,348
100% company paid employee medical insurance and 90% paid vision and dental on the 1st of month from date of hire.
Student Loan Repayment through the National Health Service Corp. With a score of 19, in almost all cases, repayment is awarded to our providers who enroll.
Continuing education benefit provided at 40 hours & $1800 per year
Paid Time Off:
6.5 weeks off within the first year; 18 PTO days, 5 days paid sick leave, 5 days paid personal/float days, and 5 days paid continuing education; based on FTE status

CHA paid pension plan at 5% of earnings after one year of service; no employee match

Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited medical school and Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Must be licensed or have the ability to become licensed in the State of Nevada.
Minimum two years practice experience preferred
Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Essential Functions:
Performs OB/GYN medical care as described by the clinical guidelines of CHA. This may include;
Diagnosing and treating conditions that affect women, such as certain types of cancer and conditions like menopause
Performs variety of procedures in the clinic
Promotes health by educating the patient regarding child birth process, reproductive health, postpartum care and prevention of disease
Refers patients to consultant services as needed
Informs patient and patient family of risks associated with procedures and assures signatures are obtained in accordance with CHA policy and procedures
Provides emotional support, compassion and is sympathetic to patient needs
Assist in triage for walk-ins, calls-ins and urgent patients
Participates in the development of medical protocols
Reviews medical protocols and provides input based on research and experience
Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA & other regulatory agencies
Monitors competency of support staff's clinical skills and knowledge
Ensures medical equipment and emergency medical equipment is in good working condition
Ensures adequate supplies and sterile equipment is available to meet the needs of the clinic and the population it serves
Participates in quality assurance/improvement reviews of medical records
Participate in quality management projects; as requested
Working with expecting mothers to explain the childbirth process
Perform other duties as assigned
