FHW includes preventive and nutrition health programs, including vision, dental, and immunization access, as well as maternal and child health with prenatal home visiting. Thriving Families provides Family Engagement, School-based services, Teen Wellness, and Parent Education programs. CAP Sonoma offers a generous benefits package available on the first day of the month after your date of hire that includes:Medical insurance through Kaiser or Sutter 80-95% paid by the employer for employee premiums plus 50% paid by the employer for dependent coverageElective dental, vision insurance, FSA and Accident insurance.Employer paid $10k of life insurance with expandable optionsEmployer paid Long-term Disability Insurance401(K) plan with 2% contribution and an additional 1% matched contribution after one year of serviceEmployee assistance program, CalPerks3 weeks vacation (4 hours accrued per pay period) based on full time work, increases at 5 years of service96 hours sick time per year (4 hours accrued per pay period) based on full time work1 floating personal day16 paid holidaysSUMMARY OF POSITION:The Senior Program Manager - HEAL (Health, Engagement, Access, and Learning) is responsible for overseeing the budget, staffing, and administration of the HEAL Department Programs. The Senior Program Manager is supervised by the Director of Community Services and will contribute to the development of new initiatives such as CalAIM billing implementation, agency integration, and leadership development utilizing a Whole Family Approach. The Senior Program Manager position is responsible for the supervision of program managers, coordinators, program staff, and volunteers, as well as program budget oversight and data analysis and report development for multiple funders including local, state and federal partners. The position will also assist with grant development and compliance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Duties include but are not limited to the following:Manages direct service staff and their implementation of programs, including agency strategic and operational plan, various grant deliverables, and overseeing multiple revenue sources.Works with Director of Community Services and Compliance Manager to develop logic models and, implement, monitor and and evaluate program outputs and outcomesAssures funding requirements are met in a timely and effective manner, especially components funded by Head start and Early Head Start.Develops and maintains a positive working environment with staffSupervises staff to make sure roles and responsibilities are understood and necessary supports are in placeManages and reviews staff performance, training, and career developmentAttends community meetings and makes presentations related to equity, access, and systemic solutions to poverty, especially for children and youth.Develops, facilitates or participates in relevant community collaboratives, advisory groups and coalitions that further the goals of the agencyCollaborates with the Director on expenditures and budgeting for the department using clear and timely communicationCollaborates with the Director and Agency Administration staff to maintain required record keeping and timely submission of invoices, timesheets, and other relevant documentationAttend training, in-service, conferences, and other program meetings as requestedImplement performance standards within their department programs and support the organization implementation processOn an annual basis will participate in the Agency Strategic Planning and Community Needs Assessment and Action Plan processes as neededPerform other duties as assigned.RequirementsREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Familiar with document management systems (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence)Proficiency with the Google Workspace ecosystem is highly preferred.Confident in the use of with online collaboration tools (e.g. Meeting software, shared documents, whiteboard, polls, diagrams)) for team development and meeting facilitationProficient in tracking data quality, consuming data analysis, and implementing data driven adjustmentsFundamental understanding of budget planning, maintenance, and implementation and prior use of accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Sage, Abila, Xero)Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining a positive relationship with accounting team, as well as implementing financial policies and procedures such as contracts, invoices, and billing.Comfortable collecting and writing content for use on Social Media by Communications ManagerExcellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships that are values-based, driven by empathy, and committed to shared principles.Understanding and ability to lead and grow a strong staff and team culture that is rooted in compassion, integrity, and transparency.Significant experience with supervising multiple programs and staffing tiers, overseeing staff development, training, compliance, and deep listening to mentor, encourage, and motivate all staff.Strong model and successful implementation of both personal organization systems and team based project management, reflecting the ability to keep track of and move forward multiple projects with both direct and indirect supervision. Experience in finding solutions and removing obstacles for staff to get their work done.Comfortable with hybrid work and 100% cloud based information management and file-sharing, willing and able to be home-based but frequently reserve desks at multiple sites to support different program needs.Understand the fundamentals of learning and presentations and have experience with creating slides on Presentation software (e.g. Powerpoint, google slideshow)Ability to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment and have multiple deadlines, but comfortable coming to ask questions when needed.Bilingual English/ Spanish requiredIN ADDITION TO ABOVE: Valid California Driver's License and a properly insured vehicle for use on the job.Prior to beginning work, must be able to pass the background check through the Department of Justice.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's Degree or 4-6 years experience in fields related to service, trauma informed care, health care systems, and supporting logistics.Demonstrated management and supervision experience with increasing responsibility in scope and breadth of staffing, budget, and accountability.PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Master's Degree or coursework is preferred in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work or similarAt least 3 years' experience in nonprofit related industry is preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
