Community Access is Hiring a Program Manager Near Lawton, OK

Manages Developmental Disability Program Coordinators and their case loads in Stillwater Area, to ensure plans, policies and protocols are followed as directed.

Ability to be ON-CALL to handle issues/emergencies.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver's License.

Great communication skills.

Good Time Management Skills.

Experience with the IDD population AND with supervising a team of care givers.

Bachelors Degree preferred, would consider someone with at least 4 years of IDD Experience or a combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the Residential/Vocational Program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Attend all DHS/DDSD Mandated Training per policy for each program.

· Serve as a role model for consumers and Program Coordinators, House Managers/HTS Staff. Words, action, attire, body language and attitude reflect socially acceptable norms, which consumers can emulate to integrate more fully into community settings.

· Counsel consumers in a variety of social, personal, economic and behavioral areas. Interactions center on mutual understanding, acceptance, valuing and support.

· Directly supervise/train Residential and Vocational Program Coordinators.

· Make site visits to consumer houses as needed to follow along with client services, and to ensure CAI staff are following IP and policy guidelines.

· Counsel subordinate staff in areas where they need assistance.

· Perform Residential and Vocational Program Coordinator evaluations as needed, to evaluate effectiveness of those staff. Recommendation for termination or hiring will be forwarded for approval to CAI Administrator or President.

· Participate in the Interdisciplinary Team Process and provide other team members pertinent information and data. Reviewing monthly/quarterly reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of information being forwarded to DHS.

· Abides by all policies and procedures established by CAI, and will maintain a level of professionalism reflective of CAI's values and mission at all times in the performance of his/her duties.

· Abides by all DHS/DDSD policies AND applicable local, state and federal laws.

· Advocates for the needs and desires of consumers served; while teaching and encouraging self-advocacy and positive assertiveness.

· Responsible for establishing consumer house schedules with the assistance of CAI Administrator. Ensuring those schedules are followed by CAI PC's/House Managers/HTS staff.

· Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day to handle employee and consumer emergencies.

· Serves as back up to the Residential and Vocational Program Coordinators, including covering shifts with the consumers.

· Serves as Health Care Coordinator or Back Up HCC, for the consumers served as needed.

· Maintains all information/communication confidential. Without written authorization all information not of public knowledge nature will be communicated to those individuals with a specific "need to know".

· Handle consumer emergencies as they arise, and notify CAI Program Director, Administrator or President of such emergencies.

· Will conduct Program Coordinator meetings, to stay informed on consumer, agency and employee issues.

· Will encourage subordinate staff to attend DHS mandated training as scheduled.

· Transports consumers to various destinations, recreational, vocational and medical appointments to name a few. This transportation can occur in company owned vehicle or employees personal car. See Mileage Reimbursement Policy.
