RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Waltham, MA that is hiring a Cloud Network Security Engineer.
Summary:
The successful candidate will be expected to work directly with our client's corporate infrastructure services team on Cloud-based, ERP hosting and multitenant solutions. This includes engaging with internal business units to evaluate network security issues, propose design options, and work with network engineers and implement new cloud firewall deployments from a network and security policy perspective.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficient on Palo Alto (logical & physical) firewall administration with at least 8 years of firewall management experience and a strong networking background
* Prior experience supporting acquisition and divestiture activities as it relates to network security is preferred
* Experience with administration and deployment of Palo Alto firewall, Azure, private, and AWS clouds including all aspects of design, procurement, installation, and maintenance
* Network and security architecture and design experience around AWS VPC and DirectConnect supporting high availability and secured AWS zones and VPCs
* Network and security architecture and design experience around Azure and ExpressRoutes
* BGP routing experience with private and public clouds
* Expertise in DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management systems is also important
* Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud authentication mechanisms
* Comprehensive understanding of network security best practices and evaluating security requests for implementation
* Thorough understanding of firewalls, NAT, and packet filtering
* Design, implement and support private and public peering for cloud exchanges with best practices in mind for routing and firewalls
* Sound project leadership and organizational skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
