Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the MAP Program Manager and the Dignity Health Director of Volunteers the volunteer coordinator supervises volunteers to strengthen the MAP program.

• Responsible for coordination of volunteer assignments associated record keeping data entry new volunteer orientation volunteer recruitment annual volunteer education programs and development of volunteer training.
• Coordinator is also a Benefits Counselor so they can train monitor and evaluate volunteers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be willing to work a varied shift schedule including evenings and some weekends.
• Must have the ability to work independently set priorities and manage work within timeframes communicate effectively verbally and in writing positive mental attitude.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Must be computer literate including Microsoft PowerPoint Excel Word and Publisher.
• Must be able to type 50 wpm.
• Some travel may be required.
• Three (3) years working with public in a community setting.
• High School or equivalent.
• Complete Nevada MAP Counselor Training within 30 days.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some college preferred.
