Founded in 1877 a small group of Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Kentucky led by Sister Euphrasia Stafford began their health ministry. Their mission was to provide compassionate care to the poor and underserved – a tradition still carried out today. Saint Joseph Hospital primarily serves central and eastern Kentucky with a full range of services including distinguished awards for cardiology orthopedics and stroke care. ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maintenance of health records on all employees/clients screened at events. Promotes Employee health, wellness and safety through a variety of programs, pamphlets and special events throughout the year. Provides individual education/counseling. Must have the ability to be trained and to teach Cooper Clayton Smoking Cessation classes as well as other programs and classes as necessary to the needs of the position. Actions are in accordance with the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience | Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing is required |
Required Licensure and Certifications | Registered Nurse with Kentucky license (RN:KY). CPR with the American Heart Association required (CPR:BLS) |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training | Minimum of two years of nursing experience in Occupational Medicine, physician office, clinic, or hospital. Minimum of two years of nursing experience in emergency room or critical care preferred. |
