Signal of Salt Lake City is Hiring a Security Officer Near Layton, UT

Position: Security Officer

Location: Layton, Utah

Compensation: $18.00/hour

Schedule:

  • Shfit 1: Monday - Wednesday 6:00pm-6:00am, Thursday 6:00pm-12:00am
  • Shift 2: Thursday 12:00am-6:00am, Friday -Sunday 6:00pm-6:00am

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.

Potential Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Skills:
- Excellent conflict management skills
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures
- Familiarity with surveillance systems
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques
- Military or security experience is beneficial

Qualifications:

  • Must have Utah Guard Card
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to maintain site-specific security orders
  • Must be able to pass a background check & drug test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a working and functional smartphone with data to conduct reports
  • Must own personal transportation or have reliable transportation to get to and from work

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
