Title: Infection Preventionist (IP)
Job Duties: The Infection Preventionist (IP) provides oversight and monitoring of antibiotic stewardship and a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of persons served, staff, and visitors, including surveillance designed to identify possible communicable diseases or infections before they can spread. The IP plans, develops, directs, implements, and evaluates infection prevention following national standards and instructs personnel in proper infection control procedures. The IP identifies and investigates infection control risks and collaborates with each department to improve adherence to standard and transmission-based precautions.

About the Campus: Our Skilled Nursing Facility is just minutes from the freeway, conveniently located by many shops and restaurants. As Neuro-behavioral campus we are less medically acute and as such there are great opportunities for clients. For example, Crestwood Wellness & Recovery Center has adopted the city park next to our building. Our clients actively pursue their gardening skills and creative beautification inspirations by maintaining and adding to the garden beds created on Earth Day 2009. The efforts have created a space for quiet and serenity as well. Weather permitting, staff often take clients to the park for group therapy, meditation, and yoga.
