Job description:
This position is primarily responsible for supporting caregivers and office staff by assisting with the start of care for clients and providing in field training, supervision and support for caregivers on company procedures and CNA -level skills.
Qualifications: The Field Supervisor will have a current CNA license in the state of Virginia or a Compact State and at least three years of experience working as a CNA/Medicine Technician. Management and/or supervisory experience is preferred. Proven skills with Hoyer Lifts, Gait Belts and Transferring a MUST.
Primary Duties:
1. Attends first shift for caregivers going to new clients to introduce caregiver and review care plan with client and caregiver to ensure proper expectations.
2. Follow-up visit or call with new Client and Caregiver within the first week (48-72 hours) of the start of care to ensure expectations for care are aligned and all is going well.
3. Collaborate with the Care Coordinator Team.
4. Visit caregivers in clients' homes to train them on company procedures, review care logs, and troubleshooting any problems.
5. Provide CNA services for occasional short shifts or emergency fill-in cases, as the Client Care Coordinator assigns.
6. Call/visit Caregivers to provide support and training when requested. It will be essential and ongoing to work towards building and maintaining relationships and trust with all Caregivers.
7. Provides on-site training, as needed, with counseling, coaching, and educating Caregivers and Clients or, if the need is outside the individual's scope of experience, makes requests for follow-up from other staff members.
8. During training visits, observe the client for any changes in condition or changes in care needs. If changes are identified, notify the nursing team.
9. Attend and contribute to Caregiver training during in-office Orientation for applicants.
10. Completes other tasks as assigned by Agency Administration.
