Summary:

Using forward thinking and creative sales techniques, the Director of Private Events Sales will be responsible for increasing revenue streams, developing existing business and soliciting new Event business through marketing and lead generation. More importantly, the Director of Private Event Sales will be joining a dynamic leadership team , focused on the responsibilities of revenue generation and customer service, but also equally focused on creating a fun, forward thinking, collabrative culture that values employee feedback, growth and work/life balance.

Essential job functions:

• Selling Private events, weddings and catering for the club.
• Sell, book and plan all Private events.
• Establish relationships within the community to grow the catering and events business.
• Develop and conduct sales presentations
• Builds and strengthens relationships with existing customers to promote future events.
• Meet customers and give tours of the facility
• Responsible for the organization and upkeep of the Sales database.
• Ensure proper accounting procedures including cash handling. Deposits must be made daily.
• Direct activities to optimize profit while meeting market position (experience) goals.
• Effectively communicate with staff, ownership, vendors and management organization in a timely manner. This includes voicemail and email.
• Address any safety issues immediately.
• Provide inspirational leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to all staff members in accord with Touchstone’s culture and mission statement to provide positive employee morale and performance standards.
• Work closely with the operational support staff provided at Touchstone Golf and make sure that key department heads are involved as well.
• Meet weekly with Leadership Team to gain additional knowledge of current market.
• Promotes and follows all current and future company and course policies and rules.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Requirements

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

Qualifications:

• Two or four-year college degree or equivalent and proven experience required 
• 2 or more years of experience in a similar role
