Overview:
 
Responsible for crafting and executing personalized messaging strategies across various channels, including email marketing, marketing automation, app updates, surveys, and SMS messaging. This role requires a keen understanding of our target audience's lifestyle and preferences, aiming to create engaging and relevant experiences.
 
Responsibilities:
Email Marketing: Develop and execute targeted email marketing campaigns, ensuring content is tailored to resonate with our audience's lifestyle and interests. Analyze campaign performance metrics and optimize strategies for increased engagement and conversion.
Marketing Automation: Implement and manage marketing automation workflows to nurture leads, drive customer loyalty, and enhance overall user experience. Utilize marketing automation tools to personalize communication based on user behavior and preferences.
App Updates: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and communicate app updates, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience. Implement strategies to encourage app engagement and feature adoption.
Surveys: Design and execute surveys to gather valuable insights into customer satisfaction, preferences, lifestyle trends, and feedback. Utilize survey data to inform marketing strategies and enhance personalized messaging.
SMS Messaging: Develop and implement SMS messaging campaigns, delivering personalized and timely content to our audience. Optimize SMS communication for engagement and conversion, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Implements sustainable (green) practices in daily tasks and for on-site and off-site events whenever possible.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Proven experience (3-5 years) in marketing, with a focus on email marketing, marketing automation, app CMS work, survey creations and distribution, and SMS messaging.
Strong understanding of customer segmentation and personalization strategies.
Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
Creative thinker with a passion for staying updated on marketing trends.
Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures including but not limited to safety protocols.
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a good driving record.
Proof of negative TB screening prior to placement and annually thereafter.
Ability to successfully complete a criminal history background check annually.
Ability to adhere to the Columbus Zoo Family of Parks’ drug-free workplace policy including but not limited to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and follow-up treatment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
