Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County. We are currently recruiting for a Clinician IV within our Emergency Services Department. This position will provide clinical services to individuals in need of Emergency Services and Short-Term Counseling. Job Duties Job Responsibilities
Provides Emergency Services- assessment of acute crisis problems, risks, functioning & mental status; pre-admission screening; triage; and counseling supports.
Provides Short-Term Crisis Counseling- in response to assessed acute crisis problems.
Responsible for coaching, training, and assistance to other Clinicians in service provision of Emergency Services & Short-Term Counseling.
Oversight of delivered services for regulatory compliance, reimbursement, and quality improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule The hours for this position include days, evening, night, weekends, and holidays based on program needs. Hybrid schedule (Remote/Work-Site) depending on program needs. Qualifications (EEO) Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of applicable regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to Emergency Services. To include voluntary and involuntary hospitalization, and short-term counseling.
Must be able to facilitate clinically appropriate response to persons in acute behavioral health crisis situations.
Ability to maintain an objective, professional and calm relationship with individuals and groups in a stressful situation
One year of clinical experience with individuals with serious mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid driver's license is required.
Master's Degree in a human services field required.
Must hold a valid license from the Board of Counseling ( LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT, or LSATP) required
