Colliers Engineering & Design is Hiring a Project Manager - Utility Design Engineering Near Englewood, CO

Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for project management, leadership, profitability, and client management for our Utility Design group in Englewood, Colorado. Responsibilities include project management, financial performance, monitoring of project budgets, staff supervision, scheduling of projects, client coordination, and responsibility for the design tasks associated with linear utility projects. The Project Manager will work with existing office staff and senior management to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines and in accordance with safety and QA/QC standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact to the client.
  • Report on project status, submittals and approvals, and manage all financial aspects related to their projects.
  • Prepare project proposals including scope (inclusions and exclusions), fees and schedule.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of contacts and participate in contract review and negotiation with the client.
  • Track the progress and financial performance of multiple ongoing projects, including schedule, staff utilization, timely invoicing and collections and effectively. communicate project status with the client and all interested parties.
  • Ensure compliance with CED safety standards.
  • Coordinate with in-house professionals and sub consultants to complete all aspects of project design.
  • Supervise and manage direct reports and production staffs internal and external workload, ensuring successful completion of tasks within scope, schedule and budget.
  • Ensure a high level of morale, efficient, and individual member performance for team members.
  • Collaborate with Technical Managers to provide technical guidance to design team & maintain QA/QC.
  • Collaboration with department senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Act as a seller/doer and actively participate in business development and marketing.
  • Engages in industry events and organizations.
  • Collaborate with Project and Technical Managers to continuously improve staff competencies and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
  • 8 years' experience in linear utility engineering and design, experience in fiber-optic/coaxial OSP experience not required but preferred.
  • 2 years of project management experience including financial management responsibilities including preparing and submitting proposals and meeting profitability goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related engineering degree not required but preferred.
  • PE license not required but preferred.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D or similar software packages with the ability to design projects through completion.
  • Knowledge of local, county, state and utility permitting regulations.
  • Qualified candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skill and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Salary range: $109-169K DOQ.
