The Credit & Collections Specialist is responsible for timely communication with customers regarding their outstanding, past-due balances to ensure Coleman Oil receives payment from customers. This role interacts with our customers on a daily basis by email, telephone or text and provides excellent service related to the current status of accounts, payments and other concerns.

This role also interacts with internal associates to help resolve any issues or concerns the customer may have regarding their invoices or account.

Job Duties

• Monitor Aging report to identify overdue customer accounts
• Contact customer by email, telephone, and text to entice prompt payment
• Answer incoming customer calls
• Assist customers with disputes and inquires and reconciling payment history
• Perform creative skip tracing techniques to locate customers
• Provide thorough and accurate documentation to customer accounts
• Utilize judgment to analyze customers ability to pay and establish a repayment plan
• Place customer accounts on credit hold, following guidelines, and communicate actions
• Identify areas of opportunity for optimizing results and improving customer satisfaction
• Service accounts by investigation problems and finding resolutions to help overcome objections that customers may have
• Creating a positive customer experience

Job Requirements

• One year of Commercial or Consumer Collection experience preferred
• Two years of Customer service experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication combined with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to business needs
• Capability of gaining customer loyalty
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and quick learner in Enterprise computer solutions

COMPENSATION:

Starting Salary: $15.75 to $18.00 DOE

Full Salary Range: $15.75 to $25.00

Days Off – Employees will accrue 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked, one personal day on the 1st of January each year and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Other - Employees may be eligible to earn annual bonuses.
