Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor with Level A certification in Wastewater treatment or the ability to upgrade their Certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position requires a proactive approach to process development and maintenance to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local laws and USEV's Management System(s), including ISO 14001 requirements.

• This position will be responsible for identifying and leading EHS activities, assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics, managing interfaces with governmental authorities and external parties, and providing technical and tactical support to plant leadership to ensure the plant is operated in a safe, healthy, secure, and environmentally sustainable manner.
• Champion and lead projects designed to effectively drive improvements in our "Zero Incident Safety Culture" programs. Improve Team member engagement.
• Facilitate risk assessments to identify critical EHS hazards and work with our leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
• Partner with other functional support/engineering teams to ensure plant projects, changes, upgrades, and modifications adhere to and meet State and Federal Regulations.
• Review plant environmental permits and ensures terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensures required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agency.
• Supervise the EHS staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes, equipment design, and facility layout.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Other duties may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years' experience as a Supervisor in the EHS field in a manufacturing environment, Automotive preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field; advanced degree or certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, Workers' Compensation), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident prevention, and incident investigation techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge of MS office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
