Overview:
An Area Facilities Manager in Training will spear head a company initiative to upgrade and revitalize all Zips Car Wash locations in 2021. Their goal is to improve wash operations through equipment and operation support.
Primary Duties:
- Train Zips teams in routine preventive maintenance techniques to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment at every Zips Car Wash.
- Travel between all stores in the area performing tunnel repairs and new equipment installs including advanced electrical work and control wiring, plumbing maintenance, installing, dismantling, repairing, and reassembling machinery and equipment, metal fabrication/welding.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing wash equipment, perform building maintenance, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Ensure optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Independently problem solve by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Work independently or with teammates, demonstrating a high sense of urgency and purpose, to complete priority projects and new technology launches.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, current insurance, and a clean driving record
- 2 years experience in electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, mechanics, construction and hydraulics, pneumatics, & commercial building maintenance
- Experience using hand tools and power tools, and reading schematics and drawing
- Available to spend 75% of the time traveling and overnight stays between markets
- Able to work effectively and be accountable under minimal supervision
