Position Title: Driver

Status: Full time/Hourly

Department:  Facilities

Position Reports to:  Facilities and Safety Director

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing time-bound transportation services to patients/clients to and from medical appointments in Los Angeles. Under the direction of the Facilities & Safety Director, driver ensures a clean and safe environment at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transports clients to and from facilities.
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting clients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Ensures that passengers in the vehicle are wearing their seatbelts prior to operating the vehicle.
• Maintains HIPPA regulations
• Inspects assigned vehicle and performs immediate reporting of missing equipment and damaged conditions to Facilities and Safety Director.
• Checks road conditions and estimates travel times.
• Document mileage on a trip-by-trip basis.
• Leaves vehicle locked and secured at all times.
• Fulfills other driving requests such as picking up and delivering items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bilingual in Spanish/English
• Minimum of 2 years in a driving position 
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid California Driver License
• Must be BLS certified
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and will be subject to routine drug test at any time

Observes CMOAR policy/procedures regarding conduct in the work place:

• Observe regulations on time card use and reporting.
• Maintain attendance as per policy.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Observe general Safety/Employee Health policies and procedures including Fire regulations.
• Maintain a current annual health screening.
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of clients with regard to personal records and program issues development.
• Display clearly visible identification.

• Treats all employees, clients, neighborhood committee members with respect, dignity and in a courteous and professional manner in accordance to non-discriminatory policies and procedures and Union Agreement.
• Conduct only works related conversations when clients are waiting for service.
