PROJECT PRODUCTION MANAGER

TITLE: PROJECT PRODUCTION MANAGER

PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION

The purpose of this classification is to perform duties related to managing various capital construction projects from concept to completion. The incumbent will lead multiple construction projects and assist other project managers when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Performs professional project information, related research, and multi-media project productions.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparing project related news releases and project advisories.

Content for public service announcements, statements, brochures, newsletters and reports of both technical and general content.

Researching and preparing correspondence, multi-media strategies; organizing and coordinating departmental related projects, programs and public relations endeavors.

Work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.

These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.

Research, analyze and draft project reports, articles, policies and other documents in preparation of articles and speeches including accurate data and information for all projects.

Develop accurate content for website, social media, articles, newsletters, releases, public service announcements, media advisories for assigned projects.

Develop and manage project event plans, story ideas and promotional concepts for department activities and organizes internal projects and activities for ground breakings and reveals.

Develop, edit, and maintain script, videography, photography and production file and schedules for projects and presentations.

Procure, transport, develop and manage audio/visual equipment, orders, displays, etc. and setups for presentations, event planning, photo-videography sessions, special events, etc.

Editing (Adobe Premier) required.

Decision Making uses independent judgment and discretion in the handling of emergency situations, determining and deciding upon procedures to be implemented, setting priorities, etc.

Proven commercial broadcast, promotional production, and news room experience working under tight deadlines for all aspects of broadcast project broadcast productions and ability to research design and assemble layouts for presentations, programs and publications and to prepare written reports in a concise, clear and effective manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Public Administration, Finance, Economic Development or closely related field; supplemented by five (5) years of related experience in business, economic development, marketing, public relations or research; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license and be able to complete County Defensive Driving training. Must possess or be able to acquire US Passport for international travel. May be required to work flexible hours and to travel when needed. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and web design is a significant plus. Must have direct experience with social media like Twitter and Facebook.

Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (40-50 pounds) for trade shows and marketing events. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard, work station, or standing in booths at shows and/or events.

Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
