Key Points:

  • We are ideally targeting candidates based in Chicago but are open to individuals located in Austin, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Salt Lake City, or Washington, D.C.
  • Candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid model, with 1-2 days onsite in the downtown office.
  • Salary Range: $175,000 $215,000 plus a bonus of 10-12% or MORE.
  • Experience Required: IT project/program management, Organizational Change Management (OCM), Transformational change management, Hands-on creation of deliverables, Leadership and management experience
  • Relevant IT Project Experience: Infrastructure, Applications, Security, and IT training
  • Role Specifics: This is NOT a PMO role but will work closely with the PMO office. Must drive deliverables for users and ensure effective adoption and use of new applications and programs.
  • Experience in legal or management consulting is nice to have.

The Assistant Director of IT Change Management & Program Management will oversee critical Technology projects, ensuring alignment with the Firm s lifecycle, policies, and standards. This role will lead the deployment and adoption of transformational Technology programs across various business areas. Responsibilities include creating and executing detailed change management plans, stakeholder analysis, and assisting the training team to drive user adoption of new technology solutions. Collaboration with internal and external IT teams to develop consistent deployment plans is essential. Oversight of project resources is also required.

This role demands a highly organized, results-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence effectively. Excellent people and process management skills are crucial, along with a solid technology background.

Essential Functions

  • Lead projects and programs following the Firm's project management lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage work breakdown structures and resource plans.
  • Implement Change Management plans for business processes and technologies.
  • Drive organizational adoption of changes per Change Management methodologies.
  • Develop project strategies and artifacts, including stakeholder assessment and communication plans.
  • Oversee project execution and support resource planning.
  • Set and achieve short- and long-term goals, KPIs, and annual operational plans.
  • Facilitate cross-functional change management activities and ensure adoption.
  • Produce high-quality change management materials and training.
  • Manage project risks and act as an escalation point.
  • Ensure effective communication and governance for projects.
  • Lead with transparency and accountability, supporting key projects as needed.
  • Understand and define enterprise-level needs to set IT program direction.
  • Deliver on time, on budget projects meeting business requirements.

Qualifications

  • 10 years in IT project/program management and change management around IT infrastructure, security, application development, and IT Training.
  • Bachelor s degree
  • Experience in Organizational Change Management and IT training
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Expertise in Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), project planning, and leadership
  • Strong change management and stakeholder assessment skills
  • Excellent strategic leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving proficiency
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams

Technologies/Software

  • Project and Portfolio Management tools such as Eclipse, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project
  • Agile management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps
  • Prosci certification nice to have
