Clarion Place is seeking experienced classroom teachers available on an on-call basis to serve as substitute teachers from birth to 4 year olds. The ideal candidates will have strong classroom management skills, familiarity with hands-on teaching practices and relevant experience with children.

Substitutes are needed for half day, full day, and extended subbing schedules throughout the year. We provide substitute teachers with as much advance notice as possible, a lesson plan from the classroom teacher, administrative support, and competitive compensation. A satisfactory criminal record check is required. The responsibilities for this position include, but may not be limited to the following;

1. Be dependable, flexible, and enjoy working with children.
2. Ability to multitask.
3. Assist with record keeping, including attendance, behavior and incident reports.
4. Maintain order and control at all times in the classroom.
5. Conduct educational and entertaining activities.(Lesson Plans provided)
6. Interact with the children at all times, particularly during playtime.
7. Conduct housekeeping duties as necessary to include cleaning up after snack, maintaining the 8.bathroom, maintaining games and all other areas related to the after-school program.
9. Supervise children with bathroom and water breaks.

10. Be pleasant at all times, cooperating with other staff and directing children with positive directions. Make every effort to further knowledge and education for the young children.
11. Comfort children who are hurt or distressed.
12. Remain active and alert at all times.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
