The Business office assistant for MRI schedules MRIs for assigned physicians, consistent with patient needs and requests and physician preference. The Business Office Assistant- MRI will obtain authorizations from insurance companies, verify insurance benefits and calculate estimates for MRI procedures. The Business Office Assistant will coordinate and schedule appointments for MRIs and follow up appointments as ordered by the Physician. The Business Office Assistant for MRI is responsible for checking in appointments and collecting co-pays and billed charges for MRI exams done in the office. This is a PRN position, with the possibility of becoming part time or full time in the future. This position will float to multiple locations. Our 5 MRI sites are Piedmont West, Stockbridge, Johns Creek, Lawrenceville & Peachtree City. The induvial will need to be willing to travel to 2-3 locations. 10 hour shifts with option to add Saturday hours. 6:00-6:45am start time (depending on location)
Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years in a medical office
• Knowledge of Epic preferred
• Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be detailed oriented
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
• Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
