    Salary: $90,575-$126,805

    Qualifications:
    • An appropriate valid and current Pennsylvania Instructional II Certificate and Supervisory and/or Principal Certificate.
    • A Master's Degree with coursework in curriculum and instruction.
    • Satisfactory work record & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151).
    • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Knowledge of and flexibility in the use of computers and software programs typically used within the classroom.
    • A valid and current operator's license for a motor vehicle and have access to an operable vehicle for traveling within and outside the district.

    Summary

    The Networked Improvement Community Supervisor of Instruction will observe and evaluate teachers across a Networked Learning Community. The Supervisor supports the Executive Director of Learning and Teaching in monitoring, reviewing, developing, and writing curriculum in accordance with school district and state mandates. The Networked Improvement Community Supervisor of Instruction, under the guidance of the Executive Director of Instructional Leadership, will be responsible for providing support and professional development to teachers in schools assigned to a Networked Improvement Community (PreK-12). The Supervisor of Instruction will analyze student outcome and performance data, support instructional planning and delivery across a PreK-12 Networked Improvement Community.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Supports continuous improvement by facilitating Instructional Rounds which provides stakeholders with shared practice of observing, discussing, and analyzing learning and teaching.
    • Supervises, observes, and evaluates teachers across the Networked Improvement Community
    • Provides support and evaluation in assuring that classroom practices are in alignment with the instructional priorities of the district and/or Networked Learning Community
    • Assists the Executive Director of Instructional Leadership and Network Improvement Community principals with school improvement planning, including data collection and monitoring.
    • Supports the Executive Director of Instructional Leadership to analyze student data to identify achievement gaps, plan opportunities to accelerate learning to reduce the achievement gap and monitor student progress in accordance with school improvement planning.
    • Collaborates with Directors in the Learning and Teaching Office to create data profiles of the Networked Improvement Community.
    • Assists the Executive Director of Learning and Teaching in providing oversight, planning and implementation of all professional development including pre-service and in-service programs at the district and Networked Improvement Community level.
    • Collaborates with Special Education and English Learner Supervisors of Instruction to identify best practices in addressing students with special learning needs and English language learner growth and attainment needs.
    • Assists the curriculum and instruction office in coordinating the preparation of status reports and presentations to teachers, administrators, district office personnel and the Board of School Directors as they relate to all core content areas and core enrichment.
    • Provides coaching and expert support by the sharing of expertise about content and evidence-based practices, focused directly on teachers' individual needs.
    • Provides a high-quality professional development that focuses on teaching strategies associated with specific curriculum content, supports teacher learning within teachers' classroom contexts. Professional development includes an intentional focus on discipline-specific curriculum development and pedagogies in areas such as mathematics, science, or literacy.
    • Participates in and leads the curriculum development and review process in all content areas.
    • Provides committee leadership in all core and enrichment content related areas.
    • Coordinates and participates in conferences and other professional development opportunities for personal growth.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Learning and Teacher and/or the Executive Director of Instructional Leadership.
