This position is responsible for directing, managing, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the City of Spearfish while planning for and providing guidance to the Common Council regarding future operations. .
The Parks, Recreation, and Forestry (PRF) summer laborer will work to maintain the city parks, city campground, urban forestry, cultural resources, and recreational facilities within the jurisdiction of the City of Spearfish. He/she will work mainly outdoors.
The seasonal wildland firefighter will respond to wildland fire emergency incidents, assist in wildland fire suppression, participate in fire prevention, educational activities, pre-suppression activities including removal of hazard vegetation, and equipment and facility maintenance. This position will also provide limited assistance in medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and structure fire emergencies.
