Come join our dedicated and caring team of professionals as a Medical Assistant II. With guidance and direction from our staff R.N. and L.V.N., the Medical Assistant will:

* Assist clinical staff at our primary care clinic in the delivery of health care to our clinic population.

* Interview patients, take vital signs, room patients for providers, and record services in patients' charts.

* Assist with procedures and screening tests, such as tympanometry, audiometry, UA, and pregnancy tests.

* Maintain stocks of clinical supplies.

* Assist in autoclaving, and with volunteer orientation.

* Provide pregnancy counseling and administer nebulizer treatments.

* Perform other duties as assigned within legal scope of practice.

Job Qualifications

Required:

* Documented evidence of completed Medical Assisting training (Medical Assistant Certification).

* Knowledge of medical terminology, and knowledge of general medical and laboratory procedures.

* Ability to take vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure and pulse), and perform tympanometry and audiometry.

* Ability to perform lab-screening tests such as UA and pregnancy.

* Proficient written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to understand and carefully transmit spoken and written instructions.

* Ability to float to other facilities within Los Angeles County as needed for coverage.

* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and interact in a professional manner with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
