This position is for Wild about LLELA Outdoor Adventure Camp.This position is responsible for providing a positive day camp experience for participants by supervising day-to-day activities for the City’s Camp PLAY/Teen Camp programs. The Day Camp Attendant assists the Day Camp Leader in the operation of Camp PLAY/Teen Camp, which includes providing daily activities for children, ages 6-15 and runs the entire summer, or for summer camps at LLELA Nature Preserve for select weeks. Implements, monitors, and coordinates daily activities for the day camp program.
Assists with daily preparation of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, field trips, hikes and other activities.
Provides snack time and lunch set-up and clean-up.
Interacts with camp participants in a variety of recreational activities.
Ensures that daily camp activities are conducted in a safe, professional manner following all safety measures and protocols.
Communicates camp equipment and supply needs to the Day Camp Leader.
Maintains facility appearance during and after camp activities.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Experience
Prior experience working with children and/or instructing day camp activities for children ages six to fifteen preferred.
Any combination of related, education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

Other Requirements:
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification upon hire.
Work Hours: Monday thru Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm June 3-21 with mandatory pre camp training
