Annual Salary: $59,521 - $89,295.34 (depending on experience)
About the Position
The Engineering Department is dedicated to providing technical services and expertise to the City Council, developers, contractors, City departments, and citizens within the City of Edmond. The Engineering Plan Review Specialist will work within the Engineering Department to review land development applications, among other related tasks, for continued growth in Edmond.
This position frequently deals directly with land developers, their consultants, City departments, and the public. This role will operate with a daily schedule of 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and a half day on Friday (7:30 am to 11:30 am).
Responsibilities

• Review land development applications, including subdivision plats, commercial site plans, lot splits, easement closings, PUD zonings, and municipal projects
• Coordinate with City departments and divisions within the Engineering Department, including Drainage Utility and Traffic Planning
• Confer with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners to provide technical information to modify plans and meet code requirements
• Represent the Engineering Department at various City government meetings
• Attend regular Site Plan Review and Plat Review team meetings
• Act as the Project Team Leader by providing status reports to the team during meetings
• Provide written staff memos describing proposed development applications to the Central Edmond Urban Board, Planning Commission, and City Council

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Civil Engineering, Construction Science/Management, etc. (preferred)
• 2 years related experience and/or training in civil engineering, hydrology, materials, project management, etc.
  
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of engineering mathematics
• Knowledge of engineering principles related to design practices of utilities, drainage structures, and construction of public infrastructure
• Knowledge of the principles of pavement and utility design
