Position:
Program Coordinator for Adults with Disabilities
Program: :Options Program
Location: :Antioch, CA
Compensation: :$66,560 annual salary
The Options Program: is designed to provide choice for Adults with Disabilities. This program assists participants with their vocational goals by helping them discover the different options available and explore all things work related. This can include, paid work, supported employment, volunteer work, community service, rehabilitation, tours, training, development, and more!
The Program Coordinator: is responsible for the coordination and effectiveness of participant services both in the program and off-site. This position is also responsible for supervision and coordination of direct service personnel at the assigned site.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures services are carried out following guidelines determined by regulatory agencies.
  • Organizes and oversees all aspects of the Individual Program Plan, Individual Education Plan, or Individual Family Service Plan process.
  • Coordinates and implements Program Manager system, as needed per program site.
  • Ensures proper level of supervision during non-program hours when people served are present.
  • Supervises staff in rehabilitation functions specific to coordinator assignment (e.g., job coaching, program activities, Program Manager duties, and daily lesson plans).
  • Completes personnel evaluations for all staff supervised as required.
  • Ensures the effective relationship between on and off-site functions, for example, day-to-day scheduling.
  • Develops job placements in consultation with the Program Director. May negotiate agreements with employers and billing with funding agencies.
  • Plans and schedules the delivery of vocational support, follow along services and support services.
  • Conducts and/or participates in in-service training and ensures all staff meet regulatory requirements for annual training.
  • Maintains a professional image and boundaries when interacting with the people supported, family members, and other professionals and community members.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in person-centered services and a high level of enthusiasm for the mission of VistAbility.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities and current trends and practices in the assessment and training of individuals with developmental disabilities or children at risk for developmental disabilities, including the administration of programs for this purpose.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Must Haves:
  • Three-years’ work experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Experience must include at least one year of personnel supervision. Additional experience over and above basic experiential requirements may be substituted for education.
  • Valid, CA Driver’s license and good driving record with a vehicle with insurance that can be used for work purposes.
