City of Cape Girardeau is Hiring a Part Time Baseball Umpire - Sports Complex Near Cape Girardeau, MO

POSITION TYPE: Hourly, Non-Exempt
FUNCTION:

Position responsible for umpiring of all leagues and tournaments offered by the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be at assigned game sites at least fifteen minutes before scheduled game time.
Conduct all pre and post game duties (coin toss, meet team captains, rule interpretations).
Ensure the safety of all participants.
Secure hazardous free playing area.
Conduct yourself in a confidant and secure manner.
Call all games as to rules set forth by the Missouri State High School Athletic Association, Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken, or other governing bodies.
