Must possess a Missouri Class "D" Water Treatment Certificate of Competency or similar state certification for this position.
POSITION SUMMARY : The Plant Operator I Water Treatment position is responsible for performing the operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment plants, groundwater wells, and water towers;
effectively performs the activities of a skilled plant operator, which necessitates a general knowledge of different specialized skills.
Duties include performing tasks and operations at water treatment facilities as instructed by supervision and lead operator positions.
This position works under the direct supervision of a Division Supervisor or Division Manager and reports indirectly to the Assistant Director and the Director of Utilities.

WORK HOURS : Shift Work; Shift May Vary
WORK LOCATION : In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS : The starting hourly wage is $21.66 per hour and will increase to $22.52 per hour after 6 months of successful probation .

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
One (1) year of experience in performing water treatment operations and maintenance, water distribution sampling, water analysis, mechanical maintenance and, repair or closely related work is preferred.
