The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA or “the agency”) connects San Franciscans with their communities to enhance the economy, environment and, ultimately, the quality of life in the city. Under general direction of the Senior Operations Manager of Schedules, the Master Runcutter and Scheduling Data Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of a broad range of transit scheduling functions including data analysis, schedule development, master runcutter, schedule and signup production, and is the unit’s primary system administrator of the transportation scheduling system Trapeze.
The incumbent will design, manage and execute technical, analytical, and business process improvement projects related to transit scheduling data. This position serves as the project lead in the coordination with staff in IT, transit technology, transportation management center, customer service, planning and transit operations; to ensure seamless transmission of scheduling data to the various IS Systems (IS) utilized by the SFMTA, regional partners and third-party applications.
This position will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day assessment and implementation of scheduling modifications to improve the overall reliability for all SFMTA - Muni transit services.
The Manager IV is distinguished from other positions in the Schedules unit by the level of responsibility assumed, in-depth knowledge about the business areas and complexity of the duties assigned.

Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. One year (2000 hours) of additional qualifying experience will be considered equivalent to 30-semester units/45 quarter units.
