Senior Planning & Business Analyst – Consumer Products 

Full Time / Permanent Position 

Reporting to the Director - Consumer Products, the Senior Planning and Business Analyst will be responsible for developing, delivering, and implementing comprehensive reporting and merchandise plans to assist the consumer products team in achieving merchandise financial success for the shows/brands of Cirque du Soleil. This position will be responsible for strategic planning, analysis and forecasting to optimize inventory levels, product performance, exit strategies, and overall profitability. In collaboration with several stakeholders, this role will ensure effective inventory management through comprehensive merchandise plans and sales data.

Roles and Responsibilities  

· Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise plans based on market trends, historical sales, and Cirque du Soleil fan demand.

· Provide recommendations through analysis of data and KPI to enhance sales, gross margins, and overall profitability.

· In collaboration with product development team, create assortments that meet our fan product expectations as well as align with the global brand and pricing strategies. 

· Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies that maintain optimal stock levels.

· Develop exit, markdown, and promotional strategies, as needed.

· Prepare regular reporting and presentations on merchandise performance, inventory stock status levels and growth opportunity.

· Collaborate with internal departments to ensure overall alignment and consistency of merchandise business strategies.

· Continuously provide creative ideas to evaluate opportunities. 

· Work with multidisciplinary teams to analyze the requirements of the business lines 

· Analyze different financial data, among others, to develop business strategies that are favorable to Cirque. 

· Recommend possible scenarios and examine their feasibility and impact on the recommended strategies. 

· All other duties assigned 

Qualifications and Experience  

· Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, strategy or equivalent 

· 5-7 years proven experience in merchandising planning/analysis with high-profile brands within a fast-moving show environment 

· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills 

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions 

· Strong attention to detail and robust organizational skills 

· Ability to work cooperatively and share ideas. 

· Demonstrated ability to be awed, be humble and have fun. 

· Knowledge of all MS Office and Adobe Products is an asset
