At Bay Photo, our reputation for quality and efficiency starts with the organization and care of our high volume of production materials, supplies, equipment, and people. We are seeking a CNC Router Supervisor to support our team.
Job Title
CNC Router Production Supervisor
Reports To
Facilities & Maintenance, CNC Manager
Summary of Position
Oversees all CNC department manufacturing operations, organization, scheduling and production. Ensures all CNC produced parts are high quality, clean and delivered on time. Work closely with department leads and machine operators to ensure production procedures are effective and efficient.
Essential Responsibilities
Monitors department to ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
Collaborates with CNC Technical Engineer on product CAD/CAM software programming and prototype creation and capacity.
Ensures CNC procedures are documented efficiently and effectively
Ensures cleanliness of the CNC department is maintained
Completes all weekly department ordering and ensures delivery receipt
Disseminates/communicates all Daily Production Summary Reports
Communicates with CNC Router Machine Vendor for technical issues
Collaborates and coordinates with all production department leaders on deliverables and efficiency gains
Monitors and maintains the employees punch report and schedules for the department.
Conducts departmental training on systems, methods, procedures and proper utilization of all tools
Ensures all products/deliverables are clean, high quality and delivered on time to production department
Operates in a fiscally responsible way at all times, looking for new and different methods to improve procedures & operations
Approves time cards, schedules and time off requests
Conducts disciplinary actions to improve performance of employees
Inspires and motivates team
Insures production levels meet or exceed requirements
Other Duties
Participates in production work as required.
Able to operate a forklift safely
Requirements
High School Diploma required with some college preferred.
Knowledge and some experience in Auto CAD/CAM softwares preferred.
Experience in MS Office & Google suites
The ability to wear PPE for most of the day. Able to stand, twist, stoop, climb stairs, ladders and Lift 50-70 Lbs regularly
Skills
Excellent communication and organization skills
Proven skills paying attention to details
Self-starter that balances initiative and independence and involves others as needed.
Understands mechanical operations and how to apply solutions
A working knowledge of Google software is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of CAD/CAM CNC programming and manufacturing is preferred
Experience
Previous production supervisor experience leading and inspiring teams
Previous experience working in a fast paced changing work environment comfortably
