Responsible for advancing enterprise-wide compliance issues management strategies and standards. Responsible for establishing and managing legal and regulatory risks across all Business units within Discover. Ensures legal and regulatory risks that may adversely affect the organization's business objectives are identified, measured, remediated, and reported to executive management, boards of directors, and audit and risk committees.
Establishing and managing the compliance issues management process across all business units within Discover, as well as training Compliance Advisory personnel.
Ensuring legal and regulatory risks that may adversely affect the organization's business objectives are identified, measured, remediated, and reported to executive management, boards of directors, and Audit and Risk committees.
Initiating, developing, and managing compliance issues management strategies and standards enterprise-wide.
Ensuring effective remediation of compliance findings and supervisory matters.
Establishing and building strong effective working relationships with business partners across the enterprise, develops a full understanding of current and emerging legal and regulatory risks and provides guidance on how to mitigate risk.
Identifying, exploring, and implementing new compliance issues management approaches and data sources to mitigate existing and emerging legal and regulatory risks.
Establishing appropriate compliance issues management standards, including limits and thresholds associated with escalating legal and regulatory risk across all business units.
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelor’s Degree in any field
4 years of experience in in compliance, law, risk management, or relevant financial services industry
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
Master's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or related field
In lieu of a degree, 8 years of experience in Financial Services
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
JD, CISA, CIPP, CRMP, PMP, RIMS, or similar license/certification

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $86,500.00 to $145,700.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.Benefits:
