Christie Clinic is Hiring a Central Registration Check In/Administrative Coordinator - Business Services Near Champaign, IL

Christie Clinic's department of Business Services is seeking a Central Registration Check In/Administrative Coordinator at the University clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This postion will require travel to other Christie Clinic locations for trainings and meetings, as needed.
Duties include the performance of supervisory duties over the Central Registration department and acting as a liaison between department team members, patients and clinical departments.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office environment in a healthcare facility. It involves frequent contact with clinic staff and patients. Possible exposure to communicable diseases common to a health care environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours and overtime hours.
JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
  • Perform, with expertise, all job functions within the department.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of electronic medical record and practice management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Christie Clinic, LLC, and Business Services operations with specific emphasis on division functions.
  • Oversight and assessment of team members' workload to ensure equitable distribution as well as timely and efficient completion of duties
  • Act as a time clock manager. Approves and submits time, approves staff member vacation and time off requests.
  • Ensure adequate staffing in absence of team members due to time off or attendance at meeting.
  • Interview prospective staff members. Oversee the training of new staff members.
  • Perform conflict control throughout the department.
  • Attend coordinator meetings as required. Following coordinator meetings, inform employees on any new information pertinent to their position.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining budget.
  • Completes and presents annual performance evaluations and ensure that employees are up to date on department policies and procedures.
  • Appease patient complaints.
  • Prevent distractions within the department and keep employees on task.
  • Oversee all operational functions of the department.
  • Attend meetings and sit on committees as requested by Manager.
  • Communicate areas of concern to the Business Services Manager.
  • Perform related work and other projects as required.
