The Compliance Risk Consultant is responsible for effectively executing, communicating, and maturing the second line monitoring and testing function related to regulatory compliance for core bank and banking-as-a-service (BaaS) programs. This individual will strategize with the Compliance Oversight and QA Manager to ensure comprehensive regulatory compliance risk mitigation and monitoring across all business units. The individual will establish and execute robust testing protocols and reporting of regulatory compliance for each review.
Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a robust second line regulatory compliance monitoring and testing function.
• Collaborate with the first and third lines to ensure a thorough and consistent overall Three Lines of Defense execution.
• Collaborate with appropriate leadership to establish a robust compliance risk assessment.
• Collaborate with appropriate leadership to establish a regulatory compliance monitoring schedule aligned with the Bank's overall risk appetite.
• Maintain and/or update applicable logs or databases to reflect approved decisions and/or the status of issues.
• Conduct compliance subject matter expert reviews and consultation for core bank, Third Party, and BaaS partner activities.
• Develop, manage, and maintain recordkeeping documentation to ensure an audit ready environment.
• Lead the identification of regulatory compliance issues and drive resolution of such issues.
• Create comprehensive reports to ensure a holistic and transparent picture of compliance reviews for senior management and executive committees.
• Maintain knowledge and expertise in applicable laws and regulations.
• Performs other ad hoc QA related duties as required.
