Chick-fil-A | Millsboro is Hiring a Front of House Team Member ($16.50 for Full Time Starting Wage) Near Millsboro, DE

The Team Member seeks to provide guests with a remarkable dining experience each and every day by working as a team to give each guest the quickest, highest quality personalized experience possible. The Team Member also treats those they work with, as well as guests, with honor, dignity, and respect – all day, every day.

Full time / Open Availability wages is $16.50.

1. Front Counter

a. Exhibit Core 4 with each guest, as well as the rest of the team

b. Take guest’s orders within 60 seconds of entering the line.

c. Fulfill guest’s orders by preparing drinks, sauces, etc. and directing guests to either have a seat (with their table marker) or wait at the pickup sign

d. Encourage guests to convert their order into a meal to complete/enhance the guest’s visit.

e. Complete table touch-ins in the dining room every 15 minutes.


2. Drive-thru

a. When not doing F2F (Face-to-Face outside) answer after the first beep and speak with a smile when on headset.

b. Serve guests within 30 seconds or less at the window.

c. Willingness to serve guests face-to-face in the drive-thru.

d. Listen carefully to accurately record their order to ensure order accuracy. This includes all condiments, special requests.


3. Dining Room

a. Keep restaurant clean at all times, including floors.

b. Ensure tables are sanitized after each customer turnover.

c. Refresh beverages for guests at their tables to ensure the guests do not need to walk to the counter for a refill.

d. When walking through the Dining Room for any reason look for any debris/etc. that you can clean up on your way to/from.


4. Back of House

a. Use any and all LEAN systems.

b. Keep all stations clean at all times.

c. Keep floor clean and free of oil/water at all times.

d. Always work in a food safe manner.

e. Always follow the recipe.

f. Keep all things stored off the floor (minimum 6 inches per Health Dept.)


All Team Members Expectations:


1. Food Safety

a. First and Foremost practice good personal hygiene. This includes washing your hands appropriately anytime you switch tasks, visit restroom (in the restroom AND when you return for guest’s perception), etc.


2. Cleanliness

a. Keep in/around your area that you are working in clean at all times. Look for opportunities to detail clean as needed.


3. Organization (FIFO-first in, first out rotation)

a. Put things back in their proper place. All products must be a minimum of 6” off the floor regardless if in a box, etc.…


4. Hospitality/Second Mile Service (2MS)

a. Always look for opportunities to lead with your heart and serve guests that ensures them we care for them personally. This includes, but not limited to: opening doors, carry trays, carrying large orders to their cars,


5. Quality

a. Using all LEAN systems (FOH/HOH; this includes proper rotation FIFO; First In, First Out).

b. Using timers at all times

c. Attentive & Courteous

d. Taste

e. Cleanliness

f. Speed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 15 years of age upon hire date
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a source of reliable transportation
  • Ability to handle all equipment, pans, pots, navigating shelving both high and low
  • Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills required
  • Works in hot, noisy and fast paced environment
  • Mobility required during shifts
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Must be able to respond to changes or edits to orders quickly and efficiently
  • Must be able to work Saturday

In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Whole lemons are freshly squeezed in our restaurants and combined with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that’s all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade®. It may not be the easy way, but it's the only way we know.
