Job Description: A family with two school-age children seeks an experienced and dependable evening and weekend Nanny. They are located downtown in the Loop. Start as soon as possible.

Schedule: Guaranteed 20 hours every two weeks. Evening and weekend care. Start and end times will be flexible based on family needs.

Compensation: $35/hour.

Job Details and Responsibilities:

1. Two children, ages 13 and 11. Care will be primarily for the 11-year-old.
2. The 11-year-old child has special needs. Nanny should be able to support the parent in the care of the child.
3. Responsibilities include driving the child to and from school and therapies, helping with toileting, cooking healthy meals, providing snacks, and creating a safe environment for the child.
4. Nanny should actively engage with the children. The child with special needs is non-verbal and requires an observant caregiver who can anticipate her needs.

Qualifications:

1. Must have verifiable experience working with children. Special needs experience is a plus.
2. Nanny should be active and able to lift/assist a child who weighs around 80 pounds.
3. Nanny must be a self-starter. Should be able to recognize things that need to be done and plan ahead. Should be organized and proactive.
4. Candidate is looking for a long-term commitment with the family.
5. Driving is required for the role. The family will provide a vehicle.
