Description:

Our Regional Director of Sales will be responsible for overseeing the sales efforts of the properties, providing strong strategic and tactical direction to the property. This includes monitoring sales activity, pace and production. Support the properties in “key account” management, and development and execution of sales SMART Plans. They will also be responsible for ensuring corporate sales processes are in place and are implemented including the correct use of corporate approved pace, productivity and end of month report.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Direct Sales to Corporate/National Accounts associated with the outdoor hospitality sector.
  • Provide hands-on sales coaching to Property Managers and Sales Managers as needed.
  • Participate as corporate support in new property training.
  • Review and monitor property PMS reports including but not limited to sales activity, space usage, production, and pace.
  • Work directly with the Vice President of Operations, Revenue Manager, and Property Managers to continually improve systems that directly affect occupancy, rate, and RevPAR.
  • Assist in creating annual revenue budgets and developing annual marketing plans.
  • Participate in sales efforts as needed for blitzes or corporate support.
  • Communicate company direction, process, and expectations to those properties within the assigned region or area. Ensure that all due dates are met for properties within the region.
  • Assist the SVP of Sales and Marketing with any other duties as needed.
  • Assist the VP of Operations on projects as needed not specified above.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position may become acting DOS of a property for a variety of reasons and for a limited period of time. Some examples may include departure of existing Sales Manager, property takeover, renovation or other instances.
  • This position will require extensive travel between properties within the region.
  • This position will require attendance at quarterly meetings at Corporate Headquarters or field locations as well as attendance at trade shows or sales association activities.
  • This position will be expected to represent the Company at various Brand-specific conferences and sales activities.

Job Qualifications:

  • Sales experience in the Outdoor Lodging sector and/or sales experience on a national level.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Able to create and give professional presentations to large and small groups.
  • Ability and desire to perform outside direct sales calls.
  • Understanding of revenue generation and profit/loss implications.
  • Ability to work as a team player within all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent guest relations skills.
  • Ability to use and teach various sales and marketing research tools.
  • Above average ability to negotiate and execute contracts.
