Position Overview:

As an Eighth Grade Science Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for science and inquiry-based learning in our students. This position is a contracted role for the current academic term, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons aligned with the eighth-grade curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about the latest educational trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license in Science (Colorado state certification preferred).
• Proven experience teaching eighth-grade science or related subjects.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
