If you are an engineer with automation or robotics experience (or education), then this position might be for you!

What you'll do:

• Programming of robots in our Finishing Department.

• Investigate, evaluate, and justify investment of potential new equipment.

• Lead and support Continuous Improvement of manufacturing processes.

• Provide technical support to operations by spending time on the floor learning processes, troubleshooting, and leading and/or participating on teams.

• Coordinate with Product Engineering on new component process and equipment planning.

• Write appropriations requests and manage capital projects.

• Drive variation reductions utilizing Process Control methodology.

• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new and modified processes.

• Assist with establishing and tracking key operational metrics.

What you'll need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.

• One plus years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with automation programming.

• Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing and problem solving techniques including Kaizen, 5S and 6.

• Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.

• Effective written and oral communication skills.

• Self-starter with strong analytical skills.

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), PFMEA, process control plans, process flow diagrams, and part routings.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Basic 3D CAD software skills.

What we'd prefer:

• Experience in high volume metal stamping, metal forming or automated assembly.

• Experience with metal finishing and metal treatments.

• Proven project management experience.

• Experience within the automotive industry.

• Experience with SolidWorks/Pro-E systems.

• Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Office software products.
