Chaminade College Preparatory is Hiring a Math / Science Teacher - Middle School Near CHATSWORTH, CA

Chaminade College Preparatory seeks a dynamic, innovative, and engaging MATH / SCIENCE TEACH ER with great classroom management skills for our middle school campus in Chatsworth, California. Chaminade's math program includes grades 6-8 math, pre-algebra, and high school level Algebra 1 and geometry. Chaminade's science program includes Earth and Space Science (grade 6), Life Science (grade 7), and Physical Science (grade 8). The successful candidate will teach five classes with the majority of the classes being math.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching math and science at the secondary level and skilled at working with middle-school aged students.
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. A single-subject math credential and/or science credential is preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience, especially in a Catholic educational setting, is preferred; however, relevant experience in the STEM or education field is also strongly considered.
  • Wants to work in a setting committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion of all school stakeholders.
  • Wants to work in a setting committed to balancing learning, health, and well-being of all stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

Chaminade faculty enjoy a competitive compensation structure and comprehensive employee benefit plan including medical, dental, vision (with significant contributions made toward family coverage), life insurance, long-term disability insurance, voluntary life, voluntary long-term care insurance, health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, and employer contribution to the Chaminade retirement plan. The annual pay will be from $59,018 to $89,000 based upon the candidate's relevant years of experience.
