As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of software products catering to our diverse clientele, including research and government customers. You will work closely with our experienced team members to design, implement, test, and deploy software solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of these customers. Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
•Design, develop, and maintain software applications using the Java programming language, React, Android, and iOS technologies.
•Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, implementation, testing, and deployment.
•Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
•Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide timely resolutions to technical problems.
•Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our products.
•Assist in the integration of third-party SDKs and APIs to extend the functionality of our software.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
•0-3 years of professional experience in software development.
•Experience developing native Android and iOS applications.
•Familiarity with the Java programming language.
•Familiarity with Python.
•Familiarity with React for web development.
•Knowledge of SDK and API integrations.
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous internship or co-op experience in software development.
•Experience with version control systems such as Git.
•Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
•Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
•Familiarity with C & C
Location: This role is based at CFD Research office in the Dayton, OH area, and is 100% onsite. There may opportunity for Telework flexibility, depending on experience level.
