This position is for a systems engineer who can work in a multi-disciplinary team, document, and communicate the sources of all interface requirements, their history, and their relationships to establish, maintain, and verify the interface requirement baseline for a mission that includes Segment, Element (payload, spacecraft bus, and ground) and/or Subsystems.

**What You ll Do:**

Provide systems engineering support of technical teams for the development, verification, delivery, and operations of Missions, Segments, Elements, and Subsystems.

Support the proper allocation, traceability, and verification of requirements at all levels through the lifecycle of the program.

Coordinate with multiple subject matter experts to develop the necessary interface definition, analysis, and verification artifacts.

Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for architecture, interface, and requirements development.

Create and manage technical definition documentation up and down the V .

Execute to the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).

Support expectations, preparations, and delivery for major gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, PSR).

Support requirements verification and I&T activities.

Prepare and give presentations to peers, management, and customers.

Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Perform other duties as necessary.

**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

**Working Conditions:**

Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.

May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.

May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 5 or more years related experience.

Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Experience using requirements database tools (DOORS, Jama, Cameo Requirements Modeler, e.g.).

Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, SysML and DoDAF/UAF/UPDM.

Demonstrated detail-oriented ability to review effective and verifiable requirements.

Experience (either direct or course work) in systems engineering processes, including interface definition and control, requirement allocation, change management, verification, and validation. Ability to self-start and own this activity.

Customer Relationships: basic knowledge of missions and customers across core technologies areas. Knowledge/experience working with critical customer base, established relationships with key personnel within customer community.

Good presentation skills with experience to decision making and technical audiences.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $111000 - $137500

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
