The ABS/ELL instructor provides instruction necessary for literate functioning to adults in reading, writing, English language acquisition, computing (through elementary algebra), listening, or speaking in the context of personal, jobs skills and career development. Instructors assist students to apply learned skills to real life situations. Curriculum delivery includes recognition of the many student learning styles, measurement of student progress, and flexibility in meeting individual student needs. Instruction may be delivered in a variety of modalities including in-person, hybrid, and online delivery.
