Find your purpose working in our Laundry Department as a Machine Operator, working behind the scenes to make sure our patients have all the necessary items needed for a comfortable visit or stay with us at the Hospital!

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for safe retrieval and proper sorting of soiled linen, may be responsible for safe and proper operation of the washers and dryers in the Laundry Department, as well as assistance with preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

HOURS:

• Part Time Mornings, 5:30am to 2:00pm
• 40 Hours per Two-Week Period (20 hours/week average)
• Every Other Weekend/Holiday Rotation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Institutional laundry experience preferred. On the job training provided.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read, write and understand basic math required.
• Ability to understand numerical readings on equipment required.
