EmPATH has full-time Behavioral Health Technician positions open! Applying to this position will allow us to consider you for all full-time Behavioral Health Technician positions currently open:

• Full-time, benefit eligible
• 60-72 hours every two weeks (12-hour overnight shift from 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.) 
• Includes every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) plus holiday rotation

EmPATH is a dedicated healing environment separate from the emergency department, staffed with a multidisciplinary psychiatric team providing Emergency, Psychiatric, Assessment, Treatment, and Healing to those initially presenting to emergency rooms with mental health urgencies. Interested applicants should prefer working in a dynamic, team oriented, fast paced environment providing delegated behavioral health interventions to patients with acute mental health urgencies in an Observation setting. Applicants will also appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with our EmPATH team and various community partners involved in developing Community Treatment plans.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of college with courses in psychology, sociology, and/or social work or comparable job experience. 
• Six months experience in nursing assistant or similar role. 
• Experience with computers and typing skills.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to effectively handle escalating behavior and utilize physical safety holds with aggressive patients.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training initial and on-going training provided.
• Basic Life Support required.
