Opportunity Highlights

Centra Medical Group (CMG) is seeking a full-time BC/BEPsychiatrist for Lynchburg General Hospital (LGH), in beautiful and charming Lynchburg, VA. LGH is part of Centra's ACO a Population Health Services Organization (PHSO) that develops partnerships within the community. Our Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) develop these partnerships to control costs, improve quality of care and improve overall patient experience.

70% clinical & 30% administrative

The team includes 3 CL NP and Mental Health professionals: the Emergency Department

Will lead IDT collaboration

Call is 1:12 and shared for the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health service line. Weekend rounding only; Nocturnist in place for inpatient unit and overnight admissions 7 days/week

Some coverage at our neighboring hospital, Virginia Baptist (VBH)

Centra's emPATH (Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing) unit is slated for completion in early 2023 within the Emergency Department. This unit will be a calming, comfortable space where patients can be assessed and treated with the primary focus of returning the patient safely to their home. Ultimately, the emPATH unit works to reduce the need for extended Emergency Department stays or even hospitalization with ensuring that each behavioral health patient is provided care that is both equitable and excellent.

Physician Compensation & Benefits

$300-325k compensation range

Up to $100,000 in student loan repayment

$20,000 in upfront compensation

Up to $10,000 in relocation reimbursement

Up to $7,500 CME reimbursement 5 days for CMEs

Required Qualifications

Completion of medical degree and residency training in psychiatry.

MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
